His finger was bandaged.
“On November 20, around 2.34pm, I chopped off my left little finger with my sickle. The finger was immersed in the Ganga after offering the same to the deity at my village,” he told TOI over phone. Till now, he has slashed his three fingers.
Asked why did he slash only three fingers since this is the fifth time Nitish has taken oath as CM, he said, “I did not chop off my two fingers deliberately during his two brief tenures as CM”
A bachelor, Sharma runs a small dairy farm with three cows and earns about Rs 20,000 a month. “I want to sell one of my Jersey cows for organizing a feast at the village to celebrate the grand victory of CM Nitish Kumar. I don’t have any liabilities. I don’t want anything (in return),” he said.
